The Triangle Jewish Chorale learns and performs songs of the Jewish people through the ages. We sing in Yiddish, Hebrew, Ladino, Russian and
English, and our repertoire includes a wide range of traditional/folk and composed music. The Chorale is open to singers from all over the
Durham, Chapel Hill and Raleigh, North Carolina and surrounding areas.
Membership in this group is open to all who:
Can sing in tune and listen to others at the same time;
Are willing to put in the time to learn their parts;
Are responsible and committed enough to attend rehearsals with great regularity!!
Chorale basics:
Music Director and Conductor: Lorena Guillen
Any age/gender (all welcome), 25 singers
Audition: Required
Dues / Fees: $50 per year
Other expenses: Cost of music under copyright; simple concert wear
We perform about 4 - 6 times a year
We sing secular and religious music, ancient and contemporary. Some is unaccompanied, but we often use piano, percussion, or instru-
ments played by members. We sometimes perform with guest artists.
